Tirzepatide Reconstitution Calculator

Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist with rapidly growing research literature. Research-grade Tirzepatide ships lyophilized in larger vials (5–15 mg). The titration schedule spans a wide dose range, so concentration math determines exactly how many syringe units each weekly step requires.

Peptide Reconstitution Calculator

Enter your vial size and bacteriostatic water volume. The calculator outputs the resulting concentration per mL and per insulin syringe unit. For procedural reference only.

Reading the result: If you have a 5mg vial reconstituted with 2mL of BAC water, your concentration is 2,500 mcg/mL. On a U-100 insulin syringe, that's 25 mcg per IU mark.

Tirzepatide concentration reference

Pre-computed concentrations for common Tirzepatide vial sizes (5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg) across 1–3 mL of bacteriostatic water. All values assume a U-100 insulin syringe.

  • Dosing range: Titration: 2.5 mg/wk start, escalating to 15 mg/wk maintenance (published manufacturer titration)
  • Administration: Subcutaneous, once weekly
  • Storage: Refrigerate after reconstitution; manufacturer guidance is 28 days post-reconstitution.

How the math works

Concentration (mcg/mL) = vial mass (mg) × 1000 ÷ bacteriostatic water volume (mL). For a 10 mg Tirzepatide vial reconstituted with 2 mL, that is 5,000 mcg/mL. On a U-100 insulin syringe (100 IU marks per mL), each IU mark holds 50 mcg.
